Meet Charles-Lwanga Bennin

Dr. Charles-Lwanga Bennin is a compassionate, board-certified cardiologist dedicated to keeping hearts healthy and helping patients live fuller lives. He serves as the Interim Section Chief of Cardiology at the Fayetteville VA Medical Center and cares for veterans and their families at the Wilmington VA clinic.

Dr. Bennin has advanced training in heart health and specializes in noninvasive testing such as echocardiograms, stress tests, nuclear imaging, and heart rhythm monitoring. His goal is to give patients clear answers and personalized treatment plans without unnecessary procedures.

Beyond patient care, Dr. Bennin is passionate about teaching the next generation of doctors. He is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Campbell University, where he trains medical students, residents, and fellows in cardiology. He has also published research and presented nationally on improving heart care, especially for patients in rural communities.

Known for his warm approach and attention to detail, Dr. Bennin takes the time to listen to his patients and guide them toward better health. He is an active member of the American College of Cardiology and other leading heart societies, keeping him connected with the latest advances in cardiovascular medicine.

When not in the clinic or hospital, Dr. Bennin enjoys mentoring, community service, and spending time with family.
